Thursday Thinking Tank in Flash Friday 55

*****

She decides to walk away from the balcony
of the outer space community,
After an alien abducted her hubby
and damaged the reputation of her family.
Dumping all the evil-mails to the loony bin,
Drawing strength from her magic tin,
She stretches her wings and fly,
She survives
By descending to earth
for a rebirth.

When I Think Of Home By Catlin L. Crawford

When I think of 'home' I think of cherry pies
When I think of 'home' I think of mulberry trees
When I think of 'home' I think of butterflies
When I think of 'home' I think of bumble bees

When I think of 'home' I think of hummingbirds
When I think of 'home' I think of sun brewed tea
When I think of 'home' I think of morning walks
When I think of 'home' I think of Grandma and me

When I think of 'home' I think of hidden trails
When I think of 'home' I think of lullabies
When I think of 'home' I think of signs of spring
When I think of 'home' I think of pumpkin pies

When I think of 'home' I think of bedtime stories
When I think of 'home' I think of I think of honeysuckle
When I think of 'home' I think of roses blooming
When I think of 'home' I can't help but chuckle

Because when I think of 'home' I think Heaven
When I think of 'home' I think of all thats kind
When I think of 'home' I think of dancing
When I think of 'home' Grandma comes to mind

On Food 4 body and Soul: I’m first, your 2nd, Beethoven’s 5th By Sean Joyce

Tom Yum Food

Fiddles to the left
and the feral goat
fiddles to the right
from the men in the boat

Drinks to the left
And wave the red flag
The same to the right
And we’ll all have a drag

Food to the left
food to the right
We’ll be here all day
in the middle of the night

Now remember
I’m first, your 2nd
Beethoven’s 5th
and I’m going home
after this

Have you got a lift? No?
I’ll dropp you off at the cross
But not a word about, you know...
‘course not, d’ya think I’m an ejit

Go on Green, I Say (4 Poets Rally Week 42)

For the purpose of positive things
That are needed some more,
I will stretch my wings
And befriend with you all.
I will make sure the bell rings
when you are at the door.
.
For the wonders on open markets
That is hard to explain,
I will give up chicken nuggets
that are artificial and plain,
I will hand you some buckets
to catch the pouring rain.
.
If there is something sad
That blurs your way,
You shall be glad
that you are the boss of your day,
Stop on red,
Go on green, I say.
.
No more talk of darkness, forget
These wide-eyed fears;
No more thinking of failures, set
your alarm clock at 7am, cheers;
No more questions of why we met,
Follow the traffic, hold on tight to your gears.
