black and white Wednesday

Joining Adrienne for:

when darkness envelopes our house
icy wind blows
behind the closed doors,
small mind shivers

shadowy figures move outside the window
a bat hangs upside down
as an owl hoots for attention
black and white thoughts combine to freeze

Sunday Prompts: Sunday Whirl, Poetry Pantry, and short story slam week 32

223

Wordle 223

pine tree with teepee head, all green,
bon fire replaced by November sun,
October poets weeping, blue names,
Mary, Rosemary, Dsnake1 searching, word stone

screaming at the bridge of spies,
the last witch hunter blames none
write out vessel, body shape chocolate
sharp pencils sketch bleeding hearts

golden leaves sway,
red brick houses stay,
silver yaris toyota parks near,
the painter gives the saint wings to cheer.

never mind those hesitating party goers,
because this is the season of moon cakes,
and it is time to hang Cao lake on Finland,
and sow the seed of squash at Princess Kate's garden

the white house halloween fest (short story slam week 31)

Short Story Slam Prompt 31: 17 days to A Spooky and Sheepish Halloween Night

this is a fictional post and sharing with bluebell books twitter club:

October comes to an end,
America thinks of her dear friend,
a make believe party,
that sets everyone on the hunting of candy

trick or treat,
lots of bloody sweet,
see the small boy pretend
and let the ghost come to our lawn

george and barack join
the children's parade,
with pumpkins glowing,
all says Goo Coo Koo Boo

when the white house wears spider web,
many famous face show up,
a smile and a candy bar,
the joy and fun spread near and far.

Happy Halloween!
