Short Story Slam Week 12

Born a white turnip,
I’m advantaged,
Dad’s love,
Mommy’s grace,
Following me like a dove
in a magical place,
Evenly,
I breathe,
Freely,
I dream,
Gently,
I sense his gaze,
Silently,
I scream:
I won’t take everything for granted,
I will listen, learn, and change the world with admirable energy,
Follow me,
We'll fight for equality
and promote the values of family,
                Watch me,
I won’t discriminate anybody.

  8. This is one of those poems that you think is going to be for children and all of a sudden you realize the message is very adult. Lovely.

By the way, if you want to learn how to do the Mr. Linky thing, I wrote down the instructions. It's quite easy and I use the simplest, free link.
