A Short Story in 55 Words

 Xcitedly,
She blows them off
her red lips,
The way she eXits
bad friendships;
eXcellently,
Bubbles swim,
climbing above her hands,
Carrying dreams;
Bubbles scream,
Traveling with winds,
bearing regrets;
Light touches down,
Whispering joy,
It doesn't matter
how short a life lives,
Nothing is better
than
creating
something
eXtraordinary
and
beautiful
to reach
bliss.

No Mood for Phoenix (Haikus in Magpie Tales)

Deep inside the box
is aesthetic paradox,
fooling all of us.
.
The sky is crying,
Cosmic insignificance,
A myth is cooking.
.
At midnight picnic,
I chew on dark thoughts between
slow sips of wet rain.
.
Car tires have gone flat,
Sadness attacks like rattlesnakes,
No mood for phoenix.

A Feast of Limericks (Weekend Nonsense and Humors)

I once had a cat
who loved to bat,
He had so much fun
by hitting many a home run,
Now he is known as “The Cat with A Bat”!
.

 I once knew a hen
who dreamed to be a queen,
She sang before dawn
and did chicken dances in her lawn
until one day she married Rooster Ben.

.

I once knew a sir
who grew so many hair,
He was disliked for being too hairy
until one day he is crowned by a fairy,
Now everyone dreams of a sir with lots of hair.

 .

I feel very happy today
because I’m lost in the sea,
The water is pure blue,
The air is fresh and cool,
I celebrate life, Hooray!!!

Flash Friday 55-Surprise

It's 3 am,
Her phone rings,
Home alone,
She decides to ignore,
"Bang!"
Someone is knocking at the door,
She couldn't ignore any more;
She gets up,
trying to turn on the light,
A pair of hands grab her thigh,
Hugging her...
She feels like screaming,
The hands pull her closer,
"Surprise!"
Says her hubby,
beaming.

A Picture Speaks (Pink Saturday)

Pure,
Sure,
A cure
To dear you,
Feel like morning dew,
Flowers blossom like smiling fool,
A picture speaks of something both meaningful and true,
I bet that you feel nothing blue,
At least have a clue
on what you
can do
to
brew.

Fibonacci is a poetry form based on Fibonacci number sequence, with syllabus count as 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, …the sequence can go on infinitely, for my entry, I write up to 13, then go back ward for a reflection…

There is a formula,

  F_n=F-n-1+F-n-2,  For n > 1.

Still not get it? How does the nth term come from?

Starting 0, 1,

0+1=2,

1+2=3,

2+3=5,

3+5=8,

5+8=13,

8+13=21,

Always add previous two terms to get the next term… I simply focused on writing a piece with rhyming words and symmetry structure, so content is not my attention here, hope that you enjoy it.

Haiku

As pure as water,
Jenny follows life’s flows,
A feathered fairy.
.
To do all justice,
One has to be far-sighted,
Show no white feathers.

Short Story Slam Week 10 in Alphabe-Thursday

A spring storm has just pasted the town,
The day is full of vernal charm,
Look at the glittering rainbow,
I’m ready to take some photos,
Hi, you squirrel, don’t frown,
Smiles won’t do you any harm,
Ready, set, here you go,
A timeless moment captured here, folks.

Happy Grandparents Day!

My grandpa cares,
My grandma dares;
One teaches me independence,
Another educates me female excellence;
I live drugs free,
In my notebook they'll always stay.

Recall 9-1-1.....Sunday Sentiments

Recall  9-1-1,
When I look into your eyes,
I wish to love more.

I’m trying to undress myself
To make my thought visible,
I’m trying to blind you to my sorrows,
I’m trying to figure out the darkness invisible
Between our unintended errors,
I’m trying to stay away from gossips
On the arch of ladys’ feet,
I’m trying to walk you across the hardships
above the eyebrow to feel great,
I’m trying to be the cell phone
You dial for an important date,
I’m trying to be the stone
You wield to skip across a lake.

This is an entry for the First Campaigner Challenge from the Writers Platform Building Campaign. It is asked to write a Short Story / Flash Fiction of 200 words or fewer. The first four words must be "The Door Swung Open".  200 words or less, I got 165 words here. hope that you enjoy the read, smiles!

You can find links to all the bloggers here:

The Door Swung open.

A sharp blow of wind flies in, along with a floating head, messy long hair hanging, the room turns cold.

The power is off and darkness veils the space.

Mary's body shivers, she wants to scream, but her voice has no sound. She tries to find her cell, yet something is holding her firmly on the sofa, where she has been sitting, watching a horror movie, waiting for her parents to come home.

Feeling helpless, she closes her eyes and lets force take her.

Someone is approaching her, she can feel the ginger alike breath, her chest is tightening!

It is getting harder and harder for her to breathe.

"Help!" her voice is weak like a soft tofu!

All of a sudden, plates in the kitchen fall to the ground, breaking the desperate air in the living room.

"Woof!" Sam the dog barked from outside!

The force withdraws, Mary opens her eyes.

The light is on, and the door swung shut.

Thursday Prompts in 55 Words

Observe something that's forgotten,
It could be a fence that goes rotten,
Do you think it's convinced to erode?
Silenced to speak by fate,
Yet, it does have a story to tell,
Look inside your heart,
Be care enough to know
that it is a piece of art,
and YOU can make it feel great.
