Aesthetic

The snapshot
before the cut reaches the bone.
.
The shadow in the rain
With hair-rising chills growing heavy like a rocky mountain.
.
Paddling her own canoe on Lake Benison,
Crown of dark trials, born in water H-A-P-P-Y.

  1. So many emotions in six lines! From chilly to excited, to wary to peaceful, to lonely to H-a-p-p-y!

  2. Nice write. Love how the lines form, can be seen as waves/ripples across the lake or as 3 individual canoes themselves. Very aesthetic indeed. Thanks

  13. What a lovely poem. I so like the way you slowed down the last word to give the impression of complete contentment. Clicking on my name should take you a couple of pictures of peaceful happiness which speak their own words.
