Stuck in a Flooding Zone

Stuck in a flooding zone,
My home is gone,
My clothes are wet,
My books are soaked,
My friends couldn't be reached by phone.
.
I see
A sea
of Water
Around my living quarter.
No place to stay,
No chemicals to spray,
No medicine for treatment,
No mood for entertainment.
.
I feel the isolation
Via the lack of communication.
Am I hopeless?
Am I helpless?
If NOT,
How can I survive on my own?
May I get a loan?
Please don't tell me that I am wrong,
Please pick up the phone
And take initiatives to act upon.
.
Stuck in a flooding zone,
My home is gone,
My clothes are wet,
My books are soaked,
My friends could not be reached by phone.
.
I pray for the misfortune to be gone
2 end this heartbroken song.

  1. I feel so sad for all the victims of these floods both in the USA, Japan and also quite a lot in Canada since the thaw too.
    Very sombre and heart-felt prose.
